Review of Hitman 2 or a new genre
Isn't the plot of Hitman 2 worthy of a righteous critical note? After watching the final video, I decided that I was not only worthy, but also honestly deserved it. But first, let's get away from all the gaming and technical issues.

Who knows, maybe this is true: the more realism there is in games, the more often it is brought to life by players. In vain, the authors tried to hide behind the fact that de 47 kills mafia bosses, arms dealers and drug dealers, i.e. all those who a priori deserve to die. However, do you think a lot when playing Hitman 2 that your "targets" are hardened bandits? During each stage, they are rather defenseless sheep, despite the fact that you are the most experienced and most qualified assassin in the world.
On the other hand, this flawed aspect has brought the IO Interactive project such popularity. One of the features of the game is the development of the player's killer mindset: how to get inside, carry a weapon, how to remove it, how to leave, etc. It got to the point that some sites are no longer talking about a stealth shooter, but about a new direction in the genre - an assassin simulator - everything is so realistic. Let's leave it to everyone's discretion the political attitude towards such a new genre.
The plot of the second part begins with the temple of God and ends there. At first, there comes an epiphany, a moment of detachment from the terrible past and remorse, but after going through a series of new tasks that once again equate this ambiguous craft with ordinary custom work, in the end we return to our place, realizing that it is too late to pray.
The main thought in the final monologue of the 47th (the same to me, Hamlet) was something about those who have never betrayed - these are the good ones, and about those who betrayed - these are the bad ones. Well, the creators have dug deep. But the last remark that it's worth looking for your truth seems extremely unfortunate. What kind of truth can a young man begin to look for, not always with well-formed views on life, who has just successfully been in the killer's shoes and received not only pleasure from the game, but also a certain experience?
Nevertheless, we will not completely distract from the type of this art. However, the current gaming industry is purely commercial products. And the box office of a plot or scene does not always imply the presence of an artistic component, so it is more interesting not the desire to express something in one episode or another, but the understanding of this episode by consumers and the responsibility of the creators for misinterpreting their intentions.
Hitman 2 went on the shelf to its younger brother, the first part. If you killed everyone in a row while going through the stages, and your rating was below the "professional" level, you didn't understand the game, and it's worth trying again first. There is pleasure in this, which is scary. If in the end you got the status of a "silent killer" - then you should take a closer look at yourself, maybe it's time to go on vacation or to the doctor. Hitman 2 has not gone unnoticed and will undoubtedly influence the further development of the FPS/TPS industry. And judging by the ending, it won't be limited to two parts. But I would like to leave the issue of humanity open - it seems fair, even though we are against banning games with violent scenes.
